A very well written story. Easy to read and captivating enough that one does not want to stop reading. The reader gets to know each of the characters in a way that makes each feel like a personal acquaintance. The day to day life presentation makes the story realistic as well as entertaining. I will be looking for more books written by Mr. Harris.

I like stories that blend contemporary settings with historical possibilities. Like to read about how things get done, as in surveying. It adds authenticity. Good characters.
This book is an easy read. It is full of nostalgia, especially if you are from the area the book was written about. I hope there is a sequel!!!
This is a really good read that moves along fast. Although it changes back and forth between years it is still easy to follow the story line. Harris makes it believable that this could actually happen to a ship in this time period. And now we wait, very impatiently, for a follow up book that we hope is forthcoming!
This book is a wonderful read! It's the kind of book that is difficult to put down. The author can be described as somewhere between Harper Lee and John Grisham, in that, each chapter is interesting, but leaves one hanging. Consequently, one has to hurry on to the next chapter to see what happens, and it's not always what one might think. The. book is very cleverly put together and I'm glad I made the decision to purchase it. Hopefully, there will be a sequel. My imagination has a tendency to run away. I would like to have it confirmed or know what happens next. Buy it and see what you think. --Caron
