I like this series. I do. But, for the love of God, please learn how to use pronouns. I am so tired of reading paragraphs that use the person's name ten times when it only needs to be used once. Mary went to the store. Mary picked up a gallon of milk. Mary went to the counter. Mary gave the clerk her money. Mary walked to the car. etc. etc. etc. Please, write like you're talking and all will be well. I end up sticking in my own pronouns as I'm reading and, along with several typos, find it very annoying. It's too bad as I really am enjoying the story, far fetched as it may be. I don't care about that. It's holding my attention and that's all that matters to me. That's all folks.Product details

I liked this one a lot, more tense actions. I still understand why the Regent was sent out on a mission instead of the Vice Regent and for him being a military Man, he sure came across as very inadequate. Oh well, I still enjoyed reading this one. Hope the next comes out soon.
Fast reading book. Read book 1 & 2 in a day. Good plot. I always thought with a EMT no electronics worked....and they don't EXCEPT for cars. Other than that good storyline. One can tell the author is a liberal but hey gives one an opportunity for a good laugh. All said and done good, fun read. Can't wait to read book 3'
Very confusing with chapters going between different sets of characters. Also don't find the bad guys play by play interesting. Mike should have dumped Nick early on. A lot of puss poor shooters on those farms. Gave up and didn't finish it.
Very good sequel to the first book. It's like 4 stories in different situations posing different solutions to the same problem. My only complaint is the General, in my opinion, doesn't respond at all in many situations the way a real General would or should. He's a little too wimpy for my taste.
Stopped reading in first few pages. Author is obviously writing about things he knows nothing about. Seriously.. a squad of professional soldiers with assault riffled driving down the road in a bus cant stop 20 motorcycler riders with pistols? Orion I put up with the huge gaps in your first book.. but this just got too tedious. You shouldn't write about things you don't know or haven't done... it always shows.
I read book one yesterday and immediately bought book two to continue the saga. I do enjoy the format of four different character sets and how they are now in book two starting to cross paths in their lives post EMP. The writing is average, but the story line is fun. These books are quick, entertaining reads and I recommend them over watching TV?
To the author - get an editor, there are at least three errors in the book that would be easy to fix. And hurry up and finish the story.
The story seems to be well laid out and the characters develop in a very possible manner. The big piece missing for me was the attention to detail. Not much thought was given to details like how the cabin that Mike and nick had was laid out and they had zero security plan for living there. the small military group would have a much more involved security plan, including guard duty shifts and/or perimeter guards. The story seems to be written by someone with no hunting or camping experience at all. In a grid down situation everyone will be camping all the time and almost no details were provided about where/how they got clean water, how they cook food, etc. seems to be all about what is going on in the heads of a few characters not on what they have to do to survive. interesting story but I will not read the next edition.
